At the top of Highdown Hill, you will find The Highdown Restaurant, which is one of the most popular dog friendly restaurants in Worthing and the Angmering area.

Even though attached to the hotel, the restaurant is open throughout the year to non-guests and offers a large, free car park to diners.

The restaurant is open seven days a week from 7:30AM – 11PM, with the exception of Sundays, when it closes at 10:30PM.

The restaurant features a fantastic large pub garden, which is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or ice-cold drink in the summer months.

In addition, the inside of Highdown Restaurant boasts a stylish and sophisticated décor, making it a popular spot in the winter months. Dogs are also allowed inside. There are plenty of dog bowls provided with fresh water, as well as free treats and a doggy menu! There’s even a lovely open fireplace, adding to the cosy feeling of the pub.

Sunday roast lunches are a particular favourite at The Highdown. From cauliflower cheese to roast topside of beef and Yorkshire puddings, you’ll definitely get a proper roast dinner here!

You can also combine a trip to The Highdown restaurant with an afternoon exploring Highdown Gardens or a walk around Highdown Hill, which is part of the South Downs. Highdown Tea rooms is also adjacent to the restaurant, which is also dog friendly. It’s important to note that Highdown Gardens doesn’t allow dogs unfortunately.
